Live 2 Knit is now Wired For Fibre
Category Archives: Stash
So, I made an impromptu visit to Sydney for 5 days and managed to find myself in Morris & Sons (aka Tapestry Craft) a couple of hours after landing on a Stash Enhancing eXpedition (S.E.X. to us knitters). I had a non-knitting friend with me – which was probs a wise move as I am on a very limited budget, but they were having an awesome sale so I actually saved money by spending money (shut up – it does too work that way). 4 skeins of Noro Silk Garden & and some Knit Picks knickknacks later, I left. It was a similar feeling to eating a small amount of a delicious dessert – happy that you ate some but wanting more at the same time.
Yesterday afternoon I got home from trip and found these goodies awaiting my stroking and fondling:
I’ll never be rich.
A few days back Katie, owner of Live 2 Knit bestowed upon me the honour of co-moderating the Live 2 Kint-ers group on Ravelry. Katie makes some of the most beautiful coloured yarn in Australia. And she has an online lay-by feature which is both incredibly cool and a little bit evil – for as long as she offers lay-by, I think I shall always have a skein or five or gorgeous yarn in my shopping cart.
These are my Live 2 Knit purchases to date and (of course) I have a few more on lay-by:
So, as the more astute members of my audience have already guessed, I got a MMMMMMalabrigo Merino Worsted delivery today from Yarn and Kisses. Four soft, squishy, lofty and luxurious skeins – two of the golden Cadmium and two of the very hard to photograph deep grey/purple Pearl Ten.
Of course, I couldn’t wait too wind at least some of my new arrivals into cakes so enter the wooden swift and Royal winder:
Disclaimer: It is not my house and therefore I am not in any way responsible for the “decorations” you may see in the background of my photos. It is very important to me that you understand this.
